Different Strokes actor Conrad Bain passed away at the age of 89, He is survived by his children Hank, Mark and the person of interest in our story his beloved daughter Jennifer Bain.
Conrad Bain’s daughter Jennifer Bain said her father died of natural causes..
“He’d been unconscious for a couple of days, but he was comfortable and it was very peaceful, I was able to be with him very close to the end [and] able to put my ear to his heart and sing him songs.”
“My father really was a lot like his character in Diff’rent Strokes,” said his daughter. “He had that warmth and stability. He also was a very intellectual person.”
“Dad was proud of his work on that show. And the problems the kids had in their lives later affected him. He felt terrible about it.”
He was an amazing person. He was a lot like Mr. Drummond, but much more interesting in real life. He was an amazing father.
57-year-old Jennifer Jean Bain is the youngest and only daughter Conrad and his late wife Monica had, Jennifer was born on November 24, 1955 in New York, her older brothers are 62-year-old Kent and 60-year-old Mark.
Jennifer Bain graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in 1975, received her B.F.A from the California College of Arts in 1982, and her M.F.A in 1985 from the San Francisco Art Institute.
Jennifer inherited her mom’s artist genes, both painters, Jennifer’s art- website is here she also created her own jewelry line Artency.
Her pieces has been exhibit in art galleries all over the West Coast just last year she was at the Bits & Pieces – Skidmore Contemporary. Los Angeles, CA.
Her work was awarded in 1982 National Endowment for the Arts – Solo Show Award: – Fiberworks Gallery, Berkeley, CA. Commission in 2002 Guest Artist Lecture – Dominican University of San Rafael, San Rafael, CA. Jennifer Bain is married to an artist Michael Mew and lives in Oakland, California.
