Vanessa Macias- Amazing Race Contestant Busted for DWI

The curvy team 32 years old member and dating divorcee from the 20th season from the TV show ¨Amazing Race¨ was arrested in Texas this Friday morning because she was driving drunk.

The 4th place contestant from the “Race” was stopped by an officer from San Antonio Police Department at 2:00 AM this last Friday. She was arrested and brought to prison in a station where she was charged for misdemeanor DWI and got a wide-open eyes pic for our amusement. She was released a couple of hours later after paying for a $1,000 bond. She then declared she felt so embarrassed about this situation.

32-year-old Vanessa Macias was born August 14, 1980 in San Antonio, Texas to Joe and Gloria Macias. Vanessa graduated in 1998 from Incarnated Word High School and then enrolled at the Radio, TV & Film school at San Antonio College. Her friends call her “Bo”

While at college she became got an internship as an on air reporter at Don Harris’ San Antonio High School Sports Show on The News 4, Vanessa continued her studies at the University of North Texas.

After she graduated from college she became the new host of the travel show “Show Me Texas”, and then at “Great Day San Antonio” at CBS San Antonio. Most recently Macias is the host of the t.v travel show “Vamos! Travel Show”.

She participated in the reality shows Urban Jungle 2 and Amazing Race with her boyfriend Ralph Kelley. This last made her famous since she appeared with her former boyfriend, Mark. They raced around the world against other teams to claim a grand prize of $1,000,000. The original American series premiered in 2001; as of 2012, there have been 20 seasons aired (with a 21st season upcoming) with locations spanning all six inhabited continents.

She is currently a freelance writer and do freelance TV commercials and shows. She considers herself an amazing communicator. Her years in TV and politics have made her great at dealing with difficult people.
