The Case of Christopher Latham plotting to kill his wife first unfolded when the alleged plot came to light back in April, the Charleston bank executive is accused of playing a key role in an alleged plot to kill his wife so he wouldn’t have to split up the property in a divorce settlement! This has no name really.
The man simply got caught cheating and instead of spending hundreds of dollars on a divorce and alimony he “brilliantly” though “oh why not kill instead my wife of 24 years”!!
Nancy Latham is a Realtor who sells homes on Isle of Palms. She’s also the treasurer of the South Carolina Lottery Commission, the mom of two teenage girls is very active in the community.
There were four accomplices identified to be involved but the master mind behind it was 50-year-old Christopher Latham, of South Carolina, one of those accomplices included his mistress/secretary Wendy Moore 37; the others involved are Samuel Yenawine, 38; Rachel Palmer, 36 and Russell Wilkinson, 39; they were all arrested and Yenawine committed suicide in June while being jailed.
Nancy lives in Mount pleasant, she is listed as realtor agent under Beachside Real State Inc. She is a devoted mother, the type of person that truly enjoys family time. According to a small profile on the South Carolina Education Lottery page, Nancy is also a talented artist and has painted many inspirational scenes of South Carolina wildlife.
She has been a member of Trident United Way – Palmetto Society, Wando Theatre Boosters – Fundraising Chair. She actively supports the efforts of the Spoleto Festival Board and Trident Technical College Foundation Board. Previously, Nancy served as the PTA President at Charles Pinckney Elementary (2003-2005). It was during that time she successfully grew the PTA’s budget by over 300 percent which greatly benefitted the school’s outreach program and underserved school children.
She and husband have two daughters Madison and Emily who were into hiding for two months after her father’s sinister plan came to light; can you imagine what a nightmare, the emotional trauma of facing the unreal facts.
The deranging investigation ended with Chris Latham arrested on August 6, Nancy said:
“While we are relieved that my husband is being brought to task for any involvement that he had in it, it’s still very, very difficult to imagine that somebody that you had been married to for 24 years would do something like this,”
The poor woman now lives in fear with her two daughters, until this is all finished. She could probably writ a book about the nightmare she is living right now.
Latham pleaded not guilty.
