First American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, surprised the whole world as she announced her engagement to her boyfriend through a Twitter message last Saturday. Clarkson, 30, previously reported early this year that she has been dating talent manager Brandon Blackstock, stepson of country singer Reba McEntire. “I’M ENGAGED!” Clarkson said on Twitter. “I wanted y’all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night!”, followed by posting a link to a photo of her canary diamond engagement ring on a website, mentioning her boyfriend helped design it, and that she “can’t wait to make Brandon’s ring.”
Clarkson’s recent album “Stronger” ranked as the highest entry in last year’s Billboard 200 sales charts. Clarkson also topped the charts in the previous years with her songs “My Life Would Suck Without You” and “A Moment Like This.” The Texas-born 2002 AI alumni held numerous concerts across the US, including one in Fallsview Casino, Canada. Although there hasn’t been any news if the AI champ’s a fan of games of chance, according to her WhoSay account, she lost a few rounds on bingo last January. Incidentally, as reported by bryanveloso.com, “many of the famous celebrities, just can’t get enough of, also share the same passion for the timeless and beloved game of bingo”. These include the actress Catherine Zeta Jones and glamorous British model Katie Price. Price was awarded as the Celebrity Mum of the Year 2012 by FoxyBingo. Bingo has several types of the game played across the globe and the earliest known online bingo game ever recorded was launched in 1996; it was a free game called “Bingo Zone”. Another was said to be a pioneer for free online bingo in 1998, which is called Uproar. The earliest all-video bingo was BoomBingo, which featured a live video stream version of the random number generator.
Meanwhile, in an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show last November, Clarkson confessed she had been dating Blackstock since January and was grateful to have him. “I am not alone for the first time for Thanksgiving and Christmas and I’m very happy,” she gleefully added.
