Patti Page is survived by her son, Daniel O’Curran, daughter Kathleen Ginn, grandchildren and sister Peggy Layton. Memorial services have not yet been made. Page died at age 85.
Page passed away in Encinitas, Calif. The New York Times confirmed her death with her place of residence, the Seacrest Village Retirement Communities.
Kathleen’s mum was born in Claremore, Oklahoma; then they moved to Tulsa.
O’curran’s mum lived with her latest husband, Jerry Filiciotto, in South California and New Hampshire. Patti became a widow in 2009.
Page was married three times. First to Jack Skiba, a University of Wisconsin student, in May 1948, which only lasted a year. Then to choreographer Charles O’Curran in 1956, with whom she adopted a son and a daughter (Daniel and Kathleen.) They divorced in 1972.
O’Curran’s mother’s nickname was the “Singing Rage.”
Page, sold more than 100 million records during her entire career, she was extremely successful too.
She said once:
I was a kid from Oklahoma who never wanted to be a singer, but was told I could sing and things snowballed.
She was very popular in the 1950s. “Tennessee Waltz,” became one of two official state songs of Tennessee.
In the end, she had 15 records go gold, and 24 songs reach the Top 10, four of which went to the top spot on the music charts. She was the first artist to overdub as a technique to improve her songs.
The final good-bye to such a beloved artist will be a gathering including just close friends and the family. Her relatives have not announced anything yet but all classic fans will be lighting a candle in her memory.
This lady is one of the best singers who achieved so much on her time despite the resources and equipment were way behind less advanced than what current singers use nowadays.
50-year-old Kathleen Patricia O’Curran Ginn was 28 months when her famous parents adopted her younger brother Daniel Benjamin, she was born on October 21, 1962, she has lived in Escondido, Cali but now resides in Tucson, Arizona with her husband Kenny Ginn.
