An unbelievable shock to the Hollywood community the death of actor James Gandolfini to a massive heart attack yesterday June 19th! Gandolfini was best known for playing the New Jersey mafia boss, Tony Soprano, in six seasons of The Sopranos which ran from 1999 until 2007. No doubt a soul gone too soon, he was incredibly talented and a favorite for many!
The actor is survived by his wife of four years, Deborah Lin, their daughter Liliana who was born last October, his teenage son, Michael, from a previous marriage and his two sisters, Leta Gandolfini and Johanna Antonacci.
So what better way to honor him to talk about his wonderful family; let’s get to know a little more about older sisters Johanna and Leta.
Johanna was born to mother, Santa born in the uS but raised in Naples, she was a high school lunch lady. Loretta, Leta and James’ father, James J. Gandolfini Sr. was born a 100 miles south of Milan, in a rural town in Northern Italy Borgo Val di Taro.
Johanna’s father School official James Gandolfini passed in 2005 at age 84; more than 400 people paid their respects to Mr. James J. Gandolfini, the former director of facilities at Paramus Catholic High School, and the father of actor James Gandolfini.
Antonacci grew up to become the manager of the Family Division of the New Jersey Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey. Her sister Leta Gandolfini lives in Westwood. The Gandolfini siblings had a very regular happy childhood at her father’s funeral mass she remembered:
“Both my mother and father were very supportive of any career move any of us wanted to make,”
Johanna Antonacci was born in 1948. Johanna currently lives in Montvale, New Jersey. Before that, she lived in Sarasota, FL from 2000 to 2011. Before that, she lived in Lodi, NJ from 1999 to 2003. Johanna, 64, was a prominent official with the New Jersey Family Court system, is married to Edward Antonacci, 69. Shre is currently the manager of the Family Division of Superior Court in Hackensack.
Leta M. Gandolfini, 62 was born in 1951, she is the president at Sunrise Brands formerly Tarrant Apparel Group, we all remember the sad event that many people in New Jersey lost her Mantoloking homet to Sandy.
