Jessica Price has become my new hero! Seriously she is an example of what to do in this life threatening situations, read about her amazing story, almost as if it was out of a movie; successfully escaping literally from the hands of her killer!
Can you picture a night our with friends in Nottingham everything goes smoothly you had fun, got to relax since you are on vacation from your job as a teacher in Italy and walking home from a fun night you meet your killer!!!!
That’s in a few words what happen to our star in this article! Jessica who was quietly headed to her house listening to her iPod on a deserted night suddenly discover she wasn’t alone and what it seamed like a deserted night became a dance of two.
Right after she realize she wasn’t alone she turned down the music and her alert flags were all over this guy. Right before she knew it he was on top of her trying to strangle her and the both struggle as she could only say “please” while she fought fiercely for her life.
The guy? Carl Powell, a had murdered a young mom of two Caroline Coyne just a month before! And Jessica was his next victim in mind.
During that night on 2011 where Jessica bravely escape from his claws she says her talent saved her as she kept calm and knew once he sat with her to talk her plan was working.
She even got him to apologize to her by saying:
“You should have just said something to me if you wanted to talk.”
‘In that situation, I always thought that I would be really nice and really calm,
Her secret? She just simply wanted to stay alive and turned things around when using her talking skills made hi believe she was flirting with him! She kept the conversation going and even shared his cigarette trying to show him they had something in common and making sure he believed she didn’t intend to run!
‘I was asking where he had been in town. Just something to keep him occupied. I needed to convince him everything was fine. There was no way I could have run – he was blocking my exit and I’m not fast at the best of times.
What a clever girl! When she finally was able to to get home and tell her family what had happened the police tracked him down thanks to her help as she made a mental note of where her killer had thrown the cigarrete and that’s how they discovered he was the same man that had killed a month before.
She could even be an investigator! She is in my book! But earlier this week she finally made peace as she waited over a year to testify against Powell!
Now she can finally move on and also brought justice to for Ms. Coyne!
