Meet Harriet Deison, she was the beloved wife of Park Cities Presbyterian Church’s pastor Peter “Pete” Deison, mother of Helen and Mary and caring grandmother of her five adorable grandchildren. Nobody can’t understand why did Mrs. Deison bought a gun and shot herself.
65-year-old Harriet Jane Schoellkopf Deison was born on February 6, 1947 in Dallas, Texas to Mary Arnold Schoellkopf and Hugo William Schoellkopf. Harriet had one brother Hugo Schoellkopf (deceased).
Harriet Deason studied at Highland Park High School and then attended at the University of Texas. She got married to 66-year-old Reverend Peter Van Deison on June 15, 1968.
Harriet Deison gave birth to her daughter 39-year-old Ann Helen Deison now also known as Helen Drexler on March 30, 1973, Helen is now married to her husband David Drexler lives in Atlanta with their four children, Storm Isaac, Bowie, Marnix and Donovan.
Harriet Deison was also the proud mother of her 42-year-old daughter Mary Virginia Deison Huntress born on November 30, 1970 married to Peter Huntress with whom she had 4 children Lydia, Cecilia, Anna Leigh and William Carroll, they reside in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Harriet’s husband Rev. Peter Van Deison graduated with a bachelor of arts and History and Government from the University of Texas at Austin, he also studied Human development and Organization at the Fielding Institute.
He is an adjunct professor of Leadership at Dallas Seminary, book author of Priority of Knowing God, They walked and Talked with Jesus, Finding your Purpose and Integrity of Heart. He and his beloved wife Harriet served at the Park Cities Presbyterian Church in Dallas, Texas.
Mrs. Deison a fabulous gardener was part of the Junior League of Dallas, Founder’s Garden Club of Dallas, Designers, Diggers Garden Club, Dallas Garden Club, Dallas Woman’s Club, Garden Club of America Judge, and National Garden Club Life Judge. She was also the owner of an administrative and services support company called Minwood One Corp.
News reported that Harriet Deison was found dead inside her car parked close to McClelland Gun Shop in East Dallas where she has just purchased a gun. The cause of death was of two inflected gunshot wounds.
