Forbes Masson husband of voted off X factor contestant Melanie Masson

Husband Forbes Masson could not be any more shocked! When wife, contestant of series 9 of X-factor; Melanie Masson 44, was voted off the singing competition.

Masson had sung Lorraine Ellison’s Stay with me in the sing-off while District 3 performed Bryan Adams’ (Everything I Do) I Do It for You.

Judges Walsh and Tulisa voted for the boys and Barlow who was Melanie’s mentor for the act; and Nicole Scherzinger stuck with Masson, the oldest contestant in the competition, who then left the show after the decision went to public vote.

Barlow said: “I’m gutted. She’s one of the best singers in the competition. I thought she was the safest of my acts this weekend.”

Melanie said: “I have enjoyed every single second of being here. I have loved it.”

All I can say that is a classy response!

49-year-old Forbes was born 17 August, 1963 Falkirk, he is a Scottish actor and writer; he is an Associate Artist with the Royal Shakespeare Company and is best known for his classical theatre roles and comedy partnership with Alan Cumming.

Masson’s first television appearances were in the late 1980s and some of his theater work includes:

Masson has written and composed a series of critically acclaimed Scottish musicals; “Stiff”, “Mince” and “Pants”. He directed the semi- autobiographical “Mince” with The Dundee Rep Theatre Ensemble and it was nominated for best musical in The Barclays TMA Awards in 2001.

So, if I was Melanie I wouldn’t be worried married to successful writer, actor and director! They have two children together Rua, five, and three-year-old Ramsay; they all live in North London.
