The latest addition to reality show Mob Wives just might be in trouble. Alicia DiMichele is being asked to be re-interviewed about her employment including her income from the TV show. The feds need this information in order to fine her for helping her husband gangster Edward “Tall Guy” Garofalo steal thousands of dollars from teamsters pension funds.
Alicia signed on to the show sometime this summer, and has already begun filming. As she is awaiting sentencing, she needs to advise the court when she travels outside the state. But when she posted pics of herself and friends on the internet, she was supposed to be at West Virginia University helping her son settle into his dorm! Her lawyer says she didn’t dupe the court, but showed poor judgment in posting pictures to Instagram. Do ya think??
Alicia, who is 40, lives in southern New Jersey. She grew up in the township of Cherry Hill New Jersey where she owns a boutique called Addiction which sells among other things baby clothes. But now she’s in litigation with Gucci over bibs and other items bearing their likeness and logos. She’s also posted photos of these on the internet.
Alicia is anything but a typical mob wife, she does not stay at home making pasta, waiting for hubby to arrive. She’s been an equal partner with the Tall Guy. In 2002, she filed for bankrupcy Then, she took a sales job at Bizarre Video, a porno-film-production company in New York with reported mob links that describes itself as “the largest fetish company in the world.” A year later she and her husband were the proprietors of a trucking company.
Will this mob wife, mother of three boys, fit in with her “co-stars”? Will she be able to finish the season’s filming or end up in jail? We’ll have to tune in and see.
