A female stripper, Lauren Block, from Cleveland was badly injured after a weird incident inside a local strip club: Christie’s Caberet in The Flats on Wednesday morning, after 1 a.m.
22-year-old Lauren Block of Richmond Heights, fell from the 2nd floor terrace and landed on her skull.
At the beginning it was thought she was pushed from the balcony, because witnesses observed two unidentified men fleeing the bar but they were just witnesses. Once verified, it was an accident.
Lauren was giving a lap dance to a customer, Pasquale Storino, 25-year-old when to some extent something went awfully off beam.
Witnesses described Block as lying immobile on the floor below the balcony, her face covered in blood.
The 911 call came from inside the cabaret on the West Bank after the misfortune.
A police officer said:
(The witness) stated that (the dancer) grabbed the rail, as he was facing away from the balcony, and she tried to complete some sort of jump/dance move, and accidentally went head first over the rail.
Block fell 15 feet and suffered “major head trauma.”
She is in the MetroHealth Medical Center, in a serious state.
Block just worked at The Tilted Kilt in downtown Cleveland.
Head waiter Ashley Roach said:
She was always in a good mood every time I saw her.
It’s mind boggling honesty, ’cause I never, you never heard about that, you hear about girls falling off the polls because they don’t grab hard enough, those are just common things, but not over a railing.
With locations in seven different cities, Christie’s Cabaret describes itself on its website as “America’s fastest growing chain of gent’s clubs in America” and boasts that “each location features state of the art sound and lighting.”
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) says it will look into the incident.

22-year-old Lauren was born Lauren Angela block on February 14, 1990 in Cleveland, Ohio to Sarah and Kenneth Block, she has one sister 25-year-old Shelly.
