Reality star Melissa Rycroft has had a total rollercoaster in her love life since we all remember how she was publicly dumped by her fiancé at the time Jason Mesnick whom she met on the set of the Bachelor. But the DWTS All Stars winner is madly in love with the father of her gorgeous daughter Tye Strickland!!
But time that heals all wounds has passed and good girl has found love, respect, someone to call her own, someone to be there and someone to lean on once more! That would be insurance agent Tye Strickland.
Melissa who was also a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader dated Strickland on and off for two years and they had their worst break up just six months before she entered the reality show as she reveals in her book titled “My Reality” She eventually reunited with Tye and married him on December 12th, 2009 in Mexico; and on February 16th, 2011 she gave birth to their first baby, a daughter named Ava Grace Strickland!
Husband Tye who is also from Texas is a businessman and he is worth $1.5 million! Earning all of his money from his job as an insurance agent for State Farm Insurance; better get that insurance huh! The couple now have their own Television reality “Melissa and Tye” a CMT series produced by Ryan Seacrest.
The show is all about the happy couple and their daughter; as they will try to manage their small town life and head straight for Hollywood in order to focus on Melissa’s career and dream! Funny thing is even before the show aired she was already getting bad reviews; sources saying she was a pain in the but to work with and how she doesn’t take advice from anyone showing herself as a little bit of a diva! Melissa’s previous history with DWTS goes back to the eight season she is now competing in season 15 the All Star Cast, she was recently hospitalized suffering from a head and neck injury while she was rehearsing; but she is now recovered and actually following very closely that mirror ball trophy with two perfect routines according to the judges!
