Have you heard about this outrageous news! Meet Vance Blanc, he is the 19-year-old college student who failed to step in and act while an alleged sexual assault took place! What happened to being a good old Samaritan? Is education not paying off for the college guy?
Here is what went down; over the weekend during an Ohio University Homecoming in Athens a woman was seen receiving oral sex, the girl was allegedly sexually assaulted on the street and she had no idea what happened to her until the next morning when she saw the photos online!
Now here is when Blanc comes in the picture, he is one of the onlookers who posted pictures of the assault while happening. According to the dailymail, Vance tweeted to a friend:
‘You don’t wanna get embarrassed? don’t do stupid s***’
After the picture went viral he took it down along with his twitter account. Vance later learned how offensive his posts were and how instead of bragging about it he should have done something to help. Some twitter users went along with the so called “joke” but others did give him a hard time saying he should be ashamed.
He later tweeted in response to one of them
‘I am ashamed and have issued a statement with police apologizing for being immature’.
Vance Joseph Blanc has a girlfriend of his own, a girl who’s twitter feed reads “Lifeguard : Dancer : Sister : Class of 2014 ***In love with Vance Joseph Blanc***” She must be feeling pretty ashamed right about now. She wouldn’t want to be in the same position and have his boyfriend do nothing.
Vance lives with his family in Bethel Park, PA and is a former high school volleyball star, he says he just happened to be walking on the same street were the woman was being raped and said during an interview he has never met her or her attacker.
On one of his deleted twitter account reads “Ohio University Class of 2017 | God First | Volleyball, Pittsburgh Sports” and also provides a tumblr link called The mind of Vance and says

A clearly remorseful Vance later said to dailymail
‘I told the office that I put this picture up…when I realized how serious it was I immediately went down to the police and helped them.
‘I’m regretting it. I realize my mistake. If there’s any way my name could be kept out of it…I don’t want anything to happen in terms of my being able to stay at the university.
‘I’m worried about this. This is my education.’
